It is with great sad­ness that I tell Maj Gen Jeanne Holm passed away Feb­ru­ary 15^th.
Gen­eral Holm was the first female one star gen­eral in the Air Force and the first two star female gen­eral in the armed forces.

She was instru­men­tal in work­ing with Jus­tice Ruth Bader Gins­burg in get­ting the Supreme Court deci­sion that said women should get the same ben­e­fits as men.

Thank you Maj Gen Jeanne Holm for lead­ing the way , you are an inspi­ra­tion to all women in the mil­i­tary and you will be missed.
 
She will be buried at Arling­ton National Ceme­tery. Arrange­ments have not been made yet. We will post that infor­ma­tion to you when infor­ma­tion is available.
